Finally got called to go to the courthouse for jury duty today for the first time since I moved to California 10+ years ago!

Then didn't make it in the randomized jury call and got sent home. Oh well. Small steps, right? There's always next year.

Well, my jury duty is complete for a year. No going to the court for me.

A small part of me is pleased. But I'm mostly disappointed. I was sort of hoping to participate in our judicial system, you know? It doesn't hurt my motivation that I wouldn't have to take a vacation day. Ah well. Maybe next year.
